Milan are set to sign Fabio Paratici as their new sporting director for 2025/26 after a frustrating season, reports Sky Sports.
Currently occupying 9th place in Serie A, the club will make a revolution, starting with the departure of coach Sérgio Conceição, and it will be Paratici who will lead this process.
The Italian director will arrive at the Rossoneri club after a 2-year ban from football due to the Prisma case, which convicted Paratici and the entire Juventus board, including former president Andrea Agnelli, in 2023 for tampering with tax books aimed at creating false capital gains to balance financial statements.
When he was convicted, Paratici was already at Tottenham, where he worked for 2 seasons, signing players like Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Cristian Romero. The club’s president, D. Levy, tried to convince Paratici to return to the club, but the director had already chosen Milan.
During his time at Juventus, Paratici’s work can be divided into two forms: with and without Beppe Marotta. With Marotta, Paratici was responsible for finding great market opportunities such as Pogba and Barzagli.
However, after Beppe left for Internazionale, Paratici took full control of Juventus’ football. During this period, Juventus compromised its financial sustainability, signing players for very high prices and with astronomical salaries.
This process resulted in his dismissal on May 26, 2021. Juventus is still trying to balance its accounts due to bad deals made by Paratici.
In Milan, Paratici will have to sign players capable of adding quality to the Rossoneri squad. The focus of this work will be on defense, an area where Milan suffers from a lack of depth. One of the most effective ways to do this could be to sign free agents.

One of Paratici’s main decisions will be choosing Milan’s new coach. According to Daniele Longo, Antonio Conte is his dream for next season.
However, it won’t be easy to sign the coach, as the Italian has a contract with Napoli until 2027. Even if Aurelio De Laurentiis releases him, Milan will face strong competition from Juventus, who according to Giovanni Albanese, have the coach as their first target for next season.
Gazzetta Dello Sport brings different information from Daniele Longo and claims that Milan are focused on signing Roberto De Zerbi, furthermore, there are also rumours about names like Allegri, Sarri and Italiano, it remains to be seen what choice Paratici and CEO Giorgio Furlani will make after the end of the season. One thing is for sure, it will be a long summer for Milan.
