FIGC is close to ending the Inter and Milan ultras probe with possible fines and suspensions

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Ilbianconero), the Italian Football Federation’s (FIGC) investigation into the ultras of Inter and Milan is reaching its final phase.

This probe has already led to the arrest of several key figures within the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri ultras groups on charges of criminal conspiracy.

With interrogations wrapping up and notices of investigation closure being prepared, the first formal charges are set to be issued soon.

Once notified, individuals or clubs will have 15 days to request a hearing, prepare a defense statement, or opt for a plea bargain, which would reduce their penalty by half. After this period, official charges will be filed.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, both Milan and Inter could face financial penalties due to their alleged links with some ultras leaders. The fines could range between €10,000 and €50,000.

The situation is different for Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Calabria. The Inter midfielder has admitted to meeting with ultras leaders Ferdico and Bellocco, while Calabria—who transferred to Bologna in January—was spotted in a bar with Lucci, a key figure of Milan’s Curva Sud.

According to the FIGC’s ethical code, “Registered players are prohibited from having relations with members or groups of supporters that are not part of officially recognized associations validated by the Federation.

” This means Calhanoglu and Calabria could face suspensions, potentially missing some Serie A matches as a result.
