Juventus might have forgotten how to win

Another draw, and another, and another. It almost feels like the Old Lady has forgotten how to win.

If previously one could blame numerous absences, against Bologna at the Stadium, there were two recoveries: Dusan Vlahovic and Nicolò Savona. True, after just 15 minutes, Thiago Motta lost Andrea Cambiaso to injury, but that’s no excuse.

In fifteen matches, Juventus has drawn nine times, a statistic that gives pause to observers. Specifically, this was the eleventh draw in 20 games, once again confirming Juventus as the team with the most draws in Europe.

In detail, Juventus managed three shots on target compared to Bologna’s four, resulting in a 2-2 final score, with both teams taking home one point. But does Juventus still know how to win? With nine draws out of fifteen games, the answer is almost frightening.

Looking solely at Serie A, the draw list includes Roma, Empoli, Napoli, Cagliari, Inter, Parma, Milan, Lecce, and most recently, Bologna. In 13 matches played, Juventus has accumulated 21 points, a pace that is decidedly worrying.

The troubles are many and evident, with the draw statistic being the confirmation. The issues seem to persist mainly offensively but probably not only there.

The problems are there and visible; Juventus remains a work in progress, but the number of draws is a cause for concern.
