Premier League club misfire to Juventus target
Juventus are reportedly considering a move for West Ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug, as the German international emerges as a potential low-cost reinforcement for the Bianconeri’s attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old is once again on Juventus’ radar after previously being linked with the club earlier in the year. Although Füllkrug remained at West Ham, he endured a frustrating season in the Premier League, struggling to make a consistent impact at the London club.
With Juventus aiming to sign at least one striker this summer, Füllkrug’s profile has become increasingly appealing.
The Turin-based side has encountered challenges in pursuing primary targets such as Jonathan David and Matteo Retegui, with both players either commanding high transfer fees or facing strong competition from other clubs.
Additionally, ongoing talks with Paris Saint-Germain regarding Randal Kolo Muani have yet to yield results.
In light of these circumstances, Füllkrug is being considered a viable and cost-effective alternative. The Serie A club is reportedly hoping to secure the striker on a loan deal, although a permanent transfer is not expected to demand a substantial fee.
Füllkrug, who has earned international caps with Germany, is said to be open to a move away from West Ham following a disappointing campaign.
A transfer to Juventus could offer the forward an opportunity to revive his career at the top level of European football.
Juventus will continue to assess their options, but Füllkrug remains firmly in contention as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
