Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo is drawing attention from Real Betis and clubs in Qatar as the Italian giants look to offload the Brazilian during the summer transfer window.

Arthur is currently training with the Juventus squad at Continassa, but he remains firmly out of the club’s plans.

Despite returning from loan spells at Fiorentina and Girona, where he showed signs of revival, Juventus are determined to cash in on the midfielder they signed from Barcelona in 2020.

Real Betis are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Arthur as a replacement for Johnny Cardoso, who recently left the club to join Atlético Madrid.

The Spanish side is keen to finalize a deal and believes Arthur’s experience in La Liga and European football can add stability and creativity to their midfield.

While Qatari clubs have shown concrete interest, Arthur’s preference is to remain in Europe.

A potential return to Grêmio, the club where he started his professional career, has also been mentioned,  no direct contact has been made, and a move back to Brazil is currently unlikely.

Arthur’s departure is a priority for Juventus, who aim to recoup part of their initial investment from 2020.

Despite early promise, Arthur failed to establish himself in Turin and has since had a turbulent spell, including an unproductive loan at Liverpool.

Arthur rose to prominence at Grêmio, where he won the Copa do Brasil (2016) and Copa Libertadores (2017).

His move to Barcelona earned him praise, but consistency was lacking. After two underwhelming years at Juventus, and loans in Italy and Spain, Arthur is now seeking the right environment to reignite his career.

With Betis emerging as the frontrunner and Qatar offering a lucrative alternative, Arthur’s next destination will likely be decided in the coming weeks.

What is certain is that Juventus will not retain him, and the midfielder is open to a new challenge to rebuild his career in European football.
