A week before the Christmas break super agent Mino Raiola went on Dutch television and does what he does best, stir up controversy for one of his clients and gaining the European Football markets attention. This time to Bianconeri supporters displeasure, the client in question was Matthijs De Ligt.

Of course we all knew with the players release clause this day could come, but at such a high fee, no one really thought that it could be a reality.

Before de Ligt even transferred to Juventus from Ajax, the belief was he would choose to sign with Barcelona instead.

Originally some in the media thought that there was a clause that stated Barcelona could get de Ligt for a fee of €75M, but with contradicting reports, I don’t believe that to be true.

Now to the headline, this morning Gazzetta Dello Sport is reporting on their front cover that Barcelona manger Xavier Hernández is a huge fan of the player and that the club would be willing to pay the full fee of €125M. If true, this could see the Bianconeri go on a spending spree this summer.
