Romeo Agresti provides fresh updates on injury recoveries of Cambiaso and Nico Gonzalez

In a recent live session on IlBianconero, reliable Juventus insider Romeo Agresti provided updates on the fitness of key players Andrea Cambiaso and Nico Gonzalez ahead of Juventus’s Serie A match against Venezia.

The right-back, who was substituted early against Bologna due to an ankle problem, was not available for the Manchester City game but is expected to be back for the Venezia fixture.

Romeo Agresti stated, “For Cambiaso, there are very good chances he’ll make it for the Venezia game; he’s feeling better.”

The Argentine winger’s injury has been the most challenging for Juventus this season.

Initially expected to return within three weeks after suffering a low-grade tear in his right thigh’s femoral rectus during the match against Leipzig in early October, Gonzalez’s recovery has been slower than anticipated.

Despite training individually as recently as December 12, his participation against Venezia remains uncertain.

Regarding Gonzalez, Agresti mentioned, “Nico Gonzalez has trained individually but with very positive signs. We’ll see if Motta brings him on the bench for the Venezia game. But we’re almost there; I think he’ll play next week.”

The match against Venezia is not to be underestimated. Though currently battling relegation, Venezia will be desperate for points, making this encounter a potential banana peel for Juventus.

Thiago Motta understands the importance of maintaining momentum following the Manchester City triumph, and having a fitter squad at his disposal could be crucial.
