Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Juventus, with both clubs reportedly agreeing on a £22 million deal.

After months of uncertainty and speculation, it seems the 25-year-old’s troubled chapter at Old Trafford is finally coming to a close.

According to SportMediaset, Sancho’s agent recently met with Juventus officials in Turin, where a four-year contract was agreed upon.

The player is said to have accepted a pay cut to make the move happen, showing his desire for a fresh start in Italy.

Juventus had initially offered £15 million, but have now met United’s asking price of £22 million, signaling genuine intent.

Sancho arrived at Manchester United in 2021 for a hefty fee, with high hopes of becoming one of the Premier League’s best wingers.

His flair, creativity, and standout performances at Borussia Dortmund made him one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

But the dream quickly turned into frustration. Sancho’s time at Old Trafford was plagued by injuries, inconsistent form, and tactical confusion.

Loaned to Chelsea last season, he struggled to impress, and the Blues opted not to sign him permanently. Upon returning to United, Sancho trained alone and was clearly no longer part of manager Rúben Amorim’s plans.

United’s rebuild under Rúben Amorim is all about discipline, tactical clarity, and performance over reputation. Several high-profile players have been sidelined, and Sancho has been one of the biggest casualties of this new culture shift.

Letting Sancho go might hurt emotionally  especially after such a big investment — but it frees up significant wages and squad space for more impactful signings.

The Red Devils are now expected to pursue reinforcements in key areas, possibly targeting a striker like Ollie Watkins or a new goalkeeper to challenge André Onana.

For Sancho, Serie A could be the perfect platform to rebuild his confidence. The slower pace and tactical structure of Italian football may suit his style, offering more space and time on the ball.

If Dusan Vlahovic stays at Juventus, Sancho could thrive in a system built around creativity and quick transitions.

At 25, he still has time to rediscover the form that once made him one of England’s most exciting talents.

This transfer marks the end of a disappointing chapter for both Manchester United and Jadon Sancho. But it could also be the beginning of something better — for both sides. Sometimes, moving on is the only way forward.
