According to an article on Gazzetta.it, Juventus is expected to face a tumultuous week on the legal front rather than on the field. While the team won’t be playing until Saturday evening against Verona, three significant legal appointments are scheduled that could shape the season ahead.

The first is the Prisma Inquiry, which begins on Monday with a preliminary hearing. Juventus and twelve defendants, including Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Maurizio Arrivabene, and Fabio Paratici, will appear before the investigating judge Marco Picco. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Turin has requested their indictment for various charges, including false accounting, false corporate communications, insider trading, obstacle to supervision, and invoicing for non-existent transactions. The hearing may be adjourned to a later date, and several small shareholders have also sought to bring a civil action.

Starting on Monday, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office could also close the bis sports investigation into the second strand linked to the Prisma investigation papers. This investigation focuses on the so-called salary maneuvers and partnerships between clubs. While this is only a preliminary step, it’s becoming increasingly likely that some parties may seek a plea deal.

Finally, the hearing for the “secret paper” is expected to take place in the Council of State. This document doesn’t mention Juventus, but the outcome of the hearing will provide valuable insights into the arguments that can be used by one of the parties in the Coni Guarantee Panel. The panel will discuss Juventus’ appeal against the 15-point penalty imposed by the Court of Appeal Federal on April 19.
