Juventus head coach Igor Tudor has made it clear that six players will be central to his long-term plans, as the club prepares for an important summer overhaul.
Since taking over in March, Tudor has introduced significant tactical adjustments, most notably shifting from a 4-2-3-1 formation, previously used by Thiago Motta, to his preferred 3-4-2-1 setup.
Despite the major change in structure, most of the squad has adapted well—though winger Francisco Conceição has seen reduced minutes.
As Juventus gears up for the 2025/26 campaign, Tudor and the management are expected to reshape the squad. there are six players the Croatian boss considers “untouchable.”
Top of the list is young forward Kenan Yildiz, who has flourished under Tudor’s leadership after an inconsistent spell earlier in the season.
Midfield duo Manuel Locatelli and Khephren Thuram are also seen as key pieces of the system, having formed a strong partnership in central midfield. Their balance of defensive discipline and forward drive fits perfectly into Tudor’s style.
Defender Andrea Cambiaso is another player the coach is eager to retain, despite growing transfer interest from clubs like AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Nottingham Forest.
Completing the group are center-backs Federico Gatti and Gleison Bremer. Both players missed the final part of the previous season due to injuries Bremer in particular has been out with a knee problem since October but Tudor remains confident they’ll be vital when fully fit.
With changes expected, several current squad members may be on their way out. Midfielder Douglas Luiz and youngster Samuel Mbangula are among those who could leave as Juventus looks to make room for new arrivals.
Tudor’s commitment to a select group of core players signals a clear direction: building a side around trust, discipline, and tactical flexibility. As the summer transfer window opens, Juventus supporters can expect both departures and reinforcements—but the foundation has already been laid.
