Two new Juventus signings settling differently and another on the way

Pierre Kalulu and Douglas Luiz were signed by Juventus in the latest window. These were part of the revolution by Thiago Motta and Giuntoli to put Juventus in a place to win another Scudetto. However, the two players time at Juventus has been heavily different.

Pierre Kalulu was bought in to help bolster the defence. This is because he’s a versatile as a defender due to him being able to play both as a centre back and right back. As well he is strong on the ball which suits Thiago Motta’s system.

Douglas Luiz however has had quite the opposite; Juventus gave up Samuel Illing Jr and Enzo Barrenechea plus an extra 20 million euros. He has been poor when has played but around half of the games he’s come off the bench.

Giuntoli and Motta are now looking to bring Kalulu in on a permeant basis. He was originally bought in on a loan with a fee of 3 million euros. Now he can be bought to Juventus on a permeant deal for 14 million euros. For what he has been doing 17 million euros is a steal especially from a rival club.

Douglas Luiz is keen to stay in Turin even though he has been poor. He has held talks with boardroom staff and Thiago Motta, and he still believes he has a future here. He wants to prove himself and become a permeant starter in Juventus.

Other players have looked for a way out of clubs after poor form. A player like this currently is Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United. He was originally linked to both Juventus and AC Milan but choose United.

He hasn’t settled in well at Manchester and is now looking for a loan deal to get back into form. The club he has been linked to/ is Juventus. This is because last season at Bologna, Zirkzee was managed by Thiago Motta.
