Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his official YouTube channel, provided an update on Douglas Luiz’s transfer situation.

Despite ongoing speculation, Romano clarified that the Brazilian remains a key figure in Juventus’ midfield plans—for now.

“It’s clear that Douglas Luiz remains the cornerstone of Juventus’ midfield. We’re sticking to what we’ve been telling you with Matteo Moretto in recent days,” Romano said.

However, interest from the Premier League continues to grow. Romano confirmed that Nottingham Forest and Everton are the two clubs currently pushing hardest for Luiz.

“It’s clear that the possibility of playing in Europe with Nottingham Forest would be more attractive for the player, for the Brazilian midfielder,” he explained.

Luiz is said to prefer a move to Nottingham Forest, largely due to their qualification for European competition.

Meanwhile, Everton remain in the mix and could soon step up their approach to both Juventus and the player with a financial offer.

Romano concluded by noting that midfield transfer activity should be closely monitored, as Juventus weigh their options with one of their top assets.
