Juventus have completed a double signing day, confirming both a major contract renewal and a fresh reinforcement from abroad.

The Bianconeri announced that Italian defender Federico Gatti has renewed his contract until June 2030, committing his long-term future to the club.

Since joining from Frosinone in 2022, Gatti has grown into a key figure in Juventus’ defensive line, making over 100 appearances in all competitions.

The club praised his “grit and undeniable defensive abilities” in their statement, underlining his value—especially following last season’s injury struggles at the back.

The 26-year-old is now poised to remain a defensive pillar under Igor Tudor’s leadership for years to come.

In addition to the renewal, Juventus also finalized an agreement with Porto for a double transfer deal involving Joao Mario and Alberto Costa.

The two clubs, already in contact over Francisco Conceição’s move, expanded discussions to include their respective right-backs.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Joao Mario will join Juventus for €12 million, while Alberto Costa heads to Porto for €16 million, with both transfers being treated separately rather than as a swap.

Joao Mario, 25, is expected in Turin tonigh. A product of Porto’s academy, he made 181 appearances for the first team, tallying five goals and 26 assists.

The Portuguese international is known for his attacking thrust down the flank and is seen as a tactical fit in the new-look Juventus side.

Meanwhile, Costa, who arrived in Turin only in January for €13 million, struggled for minutes under Thiago Motta but gained more prominence under Tudor, even starting in the FIFA Club World Cup.

With Gatti locked in for the long-term and Joao Mario reinforcing the wingback slot, Juventus are actively shaping a new spine as preparations continue for the upcoming Serie A campaign.
