When will Andrea Cambiaso recover from his injury

Andrea Cambiaso remains sidelined due to a lingering ankle issue that has kept him out for weeks.  According to ilbianconero, the Juventus full-back also missed the Champions League clash against PSV, marking his fourth consecutive absence.

His last appearance dates back to January 25, during the 1-0 defeat against Napoli at the Maradona Stadium. Since then, he has also missed matches against Benfica, Empoli, and Como.

Head coach Thiago Motta is eager to have him back as soon as possible, knowing how crucial Cambiaso is for his tactical flexibility on the flanks. His prolonged absence has complicated the coach’s options, forcing him to adjust his lineup.

Meanwhile, Cambiaso has been the subject of transfer rumors linking him to Manchester City. However, no deal materialized, and the former Bologna player will remain at Juventus at least until June.

The club’s medical staff continues to monitor his condition daily, aiming to have him fit for the key upcoming fixtures.

If he manages to train with the group and responds well, his chances of making the squad will increase significantly. The medical staff will closely assess his reaction to training before deciding whether he can be available for Thiago Motta in the highly anticipated Derby d’Italia.

Andrea Cambiaso has been struggling with a persistent ankle problem that has repeatedly disrupted his season. The former Bologna and Genoa player has already missed several matches across Serie A and the Champions League, briefly returning before being forced to the sidelines again.

Since the Napoli match, Juventus has played three games without him against Empoli and Como in Serie A and PSV in the Champions League winning all three. While his absence has been a setback for Thiago Motta, the club is prioritizing his full recovery rather than rushing him back onto the field.
