Gianluigi Donnarumma has an infamous history with Serie A breaking on to the scene at 16 for AC Milan. He became beloved by Milan fans they saw him as the next big club legend. He could be like all the other Italian legends who have represented Milan at club level.

However at the end of the 20/21 season that all changed as AC Milan couldn’t afford to match his €12M per seasons requests. Donnarumma then decided to look elsewhere to see who could match his demands that was PSG. This left many Milan fans furious that he abandoned the club that helped him through the youth academy and gave him his pro debut. This left many Milan fans feeling like they got the short end of the stick.

However, now the the tables have turned and Donnarumma is the one on the short end of the stick. This is because PSG are looking to replace him with 23-year-old Lucas Chevalier from Lille. PSG are looking to close the deal in the coming days and this will then leave Donnarumma without a starting spot.

Now he is considering where he could end up next season, and there is no short list of suitors. Donnarumma is widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world if not the best. There is no short list of suitors ready to pick up Gianluigi including Premier League side Manchester United.

But in Seria A there is also multiple teams interested with Calcio Merecato reporting that Inter Milan could make a move for Donnarumma. They see him as an natural replacement for 36-year-old, Yann Sommer. Inter could also have plenty of money to spend as there move for Ademola Lookman could fall apart. Inter Milan and Atalanta are in talks and there is a €5M difference in the value of Lookman if this isn’t sorted out soon the deal will most likely be off.

Meanwhile Juventus are still open to explore the possibility of bringing in Donnarumma. While Juventus have just signed Michele Di Gregorio permanently from Monza. He has already recvcied interest from Premier League side Manchester City. If City where to come in for Di Gregorio officially this summer Juventus could look to bring in Donnarumma.

While the deal is a long shot for either Inter Milan or Juventus this season, next season is a different story. Donnarumma only has one year left on his deal at PSG, and currently his wage demands aren’t being met. This could make him a free agent, this is  especially likely if he is replaced this summer. Juventus or Inter Milan could then take a stab at Donnarumma on a free transfer if his wage demands are reasonable.
