Juventus are reportedly planning a January move for Bayern Munich full-back Raphael Guerreiro, as coach Igor Tudor looks to strengthen his squad’s wide options ahead of the second half of the season.

Tudor intends to continue using his three-at-the-back system. Against AC Milan, Juventus briefly switched from a 3-4-2-1 to a 3-5-2 formation, but the setup still relied heavily on wing-backs  an area where the club is currently short on options.

At the moment, Andrea Cambiaso, Joao Mario, and Juan Cabal are the only natural wing-backs available.

Players like Weston McKennie and Pierre Kalulu have also been forced to fill in on the flanks, highlighting the need for reinforcements.

Juventus are now eyeing a low-cost deal for Guerreiro, who will enter the final six months of his contract with Bayern in January.

The Portuguese defender, who turns 32 in December, is not expected to renew his deal in Germany, meaning he could be available for a reduced transfer fee.

Guerreiro has only appeared as a substitute in the Bundesliga this season, and reports suggest that Bayern Munich are open to selling him this winter to avoid losing him for free next summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has a wealth of experience, with over 200 Bundesliga appearances, more than 100 Ligue 1 games, and 57 Champions League outings. Known for his versatility, Guerreiro can also play in central midfield when needed.

If Juventus can finalize the deal, his technical ability, experience, and tactical flexibility would make him a valuable addition to Tudor’s squad.
