Juventus position on Donnarumma revealed after PSG snub
Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is hanging by a thread after the club excluded him from the squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup final against Tottenham in Udine.
The decision follows the recent arrival of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, a move that already hinted at a changing of the guard in PSG’s goalkeeping department.
Negotiations over a contract extension between the 25-year-old Italy international and the French champions have collapsed. With his deal set to expire in 2026, PSG are determined to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer next year.
The club has no interest in a short-term renewal designed to facilitate a loan exit and is instead prepared to sanction a permanent move before the transfer window closes.

PSG are reportedly willing to part with Donnarumma for around €25 million—far below the market value he commanded when he joined from AC Milan in 2021.
The goalkeeper currently earns €7 million net per season (€12.7 million gross, excluding bonuses) and is believed to be seeking an increase, confident after a strong campaign that has placed him among the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or shortlist.
Inevitable speculation has linked Donnarumma to Juventus, long-time admirers of the 1999-born shot-stopper.
However, the Bianconeri’s focus appears to be elsewhere, notably on reinforcing their attack with PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani.
The club is already settled in goal, with Michele Di Gregorio set for another season as first choice and Mattia Perin confirmed as backup following his recovery from hand surgery.

The Premier League currently looks the most probable destination. Manchester United could move if André Onana departs—Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest—while Chelsea, under Enzo Maresca, are also monitoring the situation.
Bayern Munich are another possibility, with the Bavarians evaluating whether to invest heavily in the position.
Manchester City’s stance is less clear: while Ederson’s future is uncertain, the club have recalled James Trafford. Liverpool, meanwhile, appear out of the race after signing Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Inter Milan have made an initial enquiry but remain focused on other targets, including Ademola Lookman and Giovanni Leoni.
Galatasaray, searching for a replacement for Fernando Muslera, have also shown interest, while a romantic return to AC Milan is viewed as highly unlikely—even if he were to leave PSG on a free transfer in 2026.
The clock is ticking, and unless there is a dramatic change in stance from either party, Donnarumma’s chapter in Paris could close well before the end of the summer.
