Opinion: Should Juventus swap Victor Osimhen for Dusan Vlahovic?

Victor Osimhen and Napoli had a falling out last season over a social media post referring him to is as a racist slur. Ever since then he has been set on leaving the club and a tried to earn a deal to Chelsea, but Napoli wouldn’t budge on a price, so the deal fell through.

A loan deal to Turkish club Galatasaray was agreed due to the Turkish transfer wind0w lasting longer. This was a similar way too who Fillip Kostic was sent on loan. The deal happened so that Osimhen could keep on playing and not sit in the stands.

Napoli are happy t0 break the loan in January if it means Osimhen can be sold. Manchester United and PSG have been interested. However, some sources have also said that Juventus could also be interested in the Nigerian striker.

But if Osimhen was to join Juventus it would likely mean that Dusan Vlahovic would be sold. This is because both players are good enough to be used on the bench consistently, and both their wages aren’t affordable. As well Victor Osimhen would come with a heavy price tag.

So, who should Juventus keep, Vlahovic or Osimhen. Personally, I believe that Juventus should keep Dusan Vlahovic instead of Osimhen. Osimhen has scored more goals in less time than Dusan Vlahovic, but Vlahovic is playing harder sides.

As well Osimhen is a year older than Vlahovic and would likely cost more and his wages would be higher. It would also be hard for Juventus to get a great price for Vlahovic as his contract expires in six months.

Finally, it could send the whole project back a few more months as he would have to learn Thiago Motta’s system. This is especially not ideal if Juventus want to get back on track and try to challenge for the title
