Vlahovic future in doubt as Comolli prioritizes contract talks

Dusan Vlahovic’s future is one of the top priorities for new football director Damien Comolli is resolving the striker’s contract situation — an issue that had completely stalled during the previous management under Cristiano Giuntoli.

The Serbian forward, whose current deal expires in 2026, had previously rejected a renewal offer that included a significant salary cut from his current €12 million per year.

Talks had gone cold, and within the Juventus camp, many believe Vlahovic’s goal against Udinese may have been his final appearance at the Allianz Stadium.

Comolli, however, intends to personally evaluate the situation and will resume discussions with the player’s entourage in the coming days. He also plans to build a relationship with Vlahovic during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

While the striker’s wages remain a major obstacle for most clubs, his transfer fee is reportedly around €40 million — a figure deemed affordable by several suitors.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have already moved beyond preliminary interest, while Newcastle United is also keeping a close eye on developments.

Should Vlahovic’s departure be confirmed, Comolli is expected to leverage his strong international network — built during his time in both England and Turkey before his stint at Toulouse — to negotiate a solution beneficial for all parties involved.
