Every word from Thiago Motta in press conference

On the Team’s Condition and Availability

INTER

“How is the team doing? The team is in good shape. Winning always helps; it brings motivation, energy, and enthusiasm, which we need to channel into our preparation.

I see the boys in good spirits. Tomorrow, we won’t have Bremer, Cabal, Milik, Douglas, or Kalulu. However, Cambiaso is back, and Kelly is fit and ready.”

On Juventus’ Goal Against Inter

JUVE’S WINNING MENTALITY

“What’s our focus? We strive to win every match. It’s our job to prepare, execute the right strategies, and earn victories. To win, we must deserve it. Tomorrow, we must give everything we have, compete against a great team, and prove we are worthy of the three points.

In crucial matches like this one, perhaps the most important of all, we must perform well, play good football, defend solidly, transition effectively, and approach the game with the right attitude from the first minute.”

On Team Bonding and Unity

TEAM DINNER – “Have I organized team dinners before? I don’t recall, but the most important thing is always the next match. We know how much this game means to our fans and theirs.

The atmosphere will be intense, and it’s a privilege to experience it. We take things one match at a time, and tomorrow’s game is our sole focus. We recently had a team dinner because we spend so much time together weekends included.

People may not realize that we work on Saturdays and Sundays as well. It’s a privilege to be involved in football. This job offers us great opportunities, both professionally and financially.

The dinner was just a way to bond in a different setting and enjoy some time outside the usual routine. We have a great group that works well together and wants to improve every day for the good of the team.”

On Inzaghi and Inter

INZAGHI

“Do I have an edge over him? No, I don’t see it that way. Bologna challenged Inter at times, but neither Inzaghi nor I step onto the field. Every game has its own story.

Inzaghi is a fantastic coach; I don’t need to say it. I respect him a lot. He is serious, consistent in his approach, and rarely deviates from his philosophy.

I don’t know him personally, but from an outsider’s perspective, I hold him in high regard. He coaches our upcoming opponents, and while I respect him, we will enter the match with humility and maximum effort to increase our chances of winning.”

On Tactical Approach and Refereeing

TACTICAL ANALYSIS

“Renato Veiga has great qualities, just like our defenders. He plays a key role in initiating build-up play. He can either move deep to receive the ball or look for a forward pass.

He also has a good long ball, something Locatelli does well too. Kelly performed well in our last game with his switches of play. He can still improve his decision-making, but Renato gives us an extra weapon.”

REFEREE ATTITUDE

“Mistakes happen they always have and always will. I’m the first to make errors, so how could I judge others? Everyone shares responsibility in controversies, including me and the media.

We talk too much about officiating. It’s part of the game, and we must accept it. Tomorrow, three teams will be on the pitch: Juventus, Inter, and the referees.

We must help the officials by avoiding simulations, reckless tackles, and time-wasting. If we manage these aspects, the game will be more enjoyable for everyone, including players, fans, and viewers at home.”

On Juventus’ Winning Mentality

VLAHOVIC

“Which matches are not important? Every single game matters. Tomorrow’s match is the most important because it’s the next one. We are not thinking about Wednesday yet.

Our focus is on tomorrow, and we need to do everything right to earn the win. The starting eleven will be selected based on what I believe is best to face Inter for 95 minutes. We can only start with 11 players, but we have substitutions to strengthen the team during the game.”

THREE-STRAIGHT WINS

“Consistency? That’s what we aim for to maintain positive momentum. Each opponent presents different challenges. We’ve had three distinct victories, which is natural given the varying circumstances.

Our goal tomorrow is to play an outstanding match and earn the win. We want to do things right, stay 200% focused, and walk away with a result that favors us.”

RENATO VEIGA’S STATEMENT

“Juventus vs. Inter? We must win because we deserve it. Both Renato and the whole team understand this well. We are Juventus—winning is an expectation. We always strive to win, even in training.

When the players lose in practice, I know it frustrates them. They want to get back on the field to redeem themselves. To win, we must work hard, execute our game plan, and stay fully focused on the match.

Competing at the highest level means solid defense, aggressive pressing, teamwork, and offensive intensity. We must attack Inter’s goal with precision and manage transitions carefully.

Inter is strong in set-pieces, so we need to be vigilant. If we concentrate on these key areas, we will be able to say at the final whistle that we earned the victory.”
