Why Allegri must be given atleast ‘two more years’

Juventus lost the Coppa Italia final last night, this is the first time the club have had a trophyless season in last 11 years. The season has been really difficult for Juventus- a huge disappointment in UCL and two cup defeats against rivals Inter Milan. The only positives this season were tha January transfer market and top 4.

Juventus difficult season does not mean Massimiliano Allegri should not be here next season. Allegri deserves time at the club, atleast two more years before we can judge him. Juventus need to invest big in the squad this summer and also sell fringe players. Alex Sandro, Arthur, Ramsey, Bernardeschi, Morata and Kean should all not be here next season in my opinion.

Blaming Allegri only for Juventus’s difficulties this season is absurd. He took on a squad simply not good enough and it will take time to remove mediocrity from the squad.

It is an end of era at Juventus and a new cycle started with Vlahovic in January and that must continue this summer with better reinforcements. The management must back Allegri to their up-most and give him a competitive squad atleast in Italy, if not yet in Europa.

For me, it’ll make sense to judge Allegri only at the end of 23/24 season, Juventus need a rebuild and it will take time, nothing happens over one night.
