Victor Osimhen is one of Juventus’ top targets this summer as they plan to change their attack. With Dusan Vlahovic likely to leave, Juventus want to sign a strong striker to take his place and Osimhen is one of the top names.
Osimhen just finished a loan at Galatasaray, and Juventus has been watching him closely. Vlahovic is in the last year of his contract and earns a lot of money.
Juventus want to sell him and bring in someone who fits the team better and costs less in the long run.
Juventus are also thinking about keeping Randal Kolo Muani, a French forward who did well on loan. They would like to sign him permanently, but they may not have enough money to buy both him and Osimhen.
Kolo Muani earns less than Osimhen, but Osimhen’s salary has a tax benefit. Because of a rule in Italy called the Growth Decree, Juventus would pay less tax on Osimhen’s salary. This means that even though he earns more, he could be cheaper overall.
Juventus are looking at both the football and money side of the deals. Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world. Kolo Muani is more flexible and already knows the team.
Juventus would love to sign both players if they can, but they may only afford one. If the cost is close, Osimhen might be the better deal in the long term because of the tax savings and his strong goal-scoring record.
