The main talk of Juventus’s, January transfer window was if Andrea Cambiaso would leave Juventus to join Manchester City or not. However, there was a deal break as Manchester City only wanted to spend 60 million. Giuntoli wouldn’t take anything less than 80 million euros so the deal fell through.
City decided to spend the time and money available for January elsewhere in more important places. This is because they needed to get their season back on track after a huge dip in form after losing Ballon D’or winner Rodri.
Now, Manchester City are planning another attack on Cambiaso in the summer transfer window. However, Giuntoli and Motta are set to be prepared and are getting replacements ready if Cambiaso does leave the club.
Two left backs have been noticed by Giuntoli that can be the potential replacements. Miguel Gutierrez from Girona and Maxim De Cuyper of Club Brugge. Giuntoli will have to decide which of these two players to sign.
If Juventus sign either play they will likely be cheaper than what Cambiaso will be sold for. This means the rest of the funds will likely also be reinvested. They will likely be on a centre back that will start a defensive revolution at the club.
The player who is most linked to the club right now is David Hancko who is at Feyenoord currently. Giuntoli made contacts with the Dutch club in January, but nothing eventuated because they wanted to keep for the rest of the season him to challenge for the Eredivisie title
