Juventus star wants to join Chelsea in 2026 deal
Chelsea are among several Premier League clubs that have been approached about signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires in July 2026.
Reports say contract talks between Juventus and Vlahovic have broken down after the club asked him to accept a pay cut. As a result, his representatives are now exploring a move to England.
Football insider Graeme Bailey revealed that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have already been contacted by intermediaries.
He said: “His people are again checking for options Chelsea and Tottenham have both been spoken to. Much will depend on his financial expectations, but he won’t get a huge payday in England.”

Vlahovic’s time in Turin has become difficult. Despite scoring four goals this season under new coach Igor Tudor, he has started only two games across all competitions.
A possible move to AC Milan failed last summer, leaving him stuck in a situation that feels increasingly tense.
Since joining from Fiorentina in January 2022 for £66.6 million, the Serbian striker has scored 62 goals in 153 games. While that record is decent, many fans believe he hasn’t fully lived up to expectations.
Bailey summed it up: “He hasn’t blown anyone away.”
Despite his challenges, several top clubs are watching his situation. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring him, while Manchester United and Newcastle United have also shown interest.

Vlahovic, who turns 25 soon, is said to be determined to prove himself again at the highest level. “You get the feeling he has unfinished business,” Bailey added.
So far, he has 134 goals in 310 career appearances, and a move to the Premier League could give him the new challenge he needs.
Chelsea have been searching for a reliable striker since the departure of proven finishers in recent years.
At 25, Vlahovic fits the profile young, physical, and with solid finishing ability. He could bring balance to Chelsea’s growing project, which has focused mainly on young talent.

However, there are concerns about his high wage demands and inconsistent form in Serie A. Chelsea, now operating under PSR financial rules, would likely prefer a free transfer in 2026 rather than paying a big fee.
For now, it’s a situation to watch closely. If Vlahovic keeps scoring and stays motivated, he could become a top target for Chelsea next summer but he’ll have to prove he can handle Premier League pressure week after week.
