Yildiz and Soulé set to face off as opponents
Tomorrow’s highly anticipated clash between Juventus and Roma will spotlight two promising talents who have taken different paths within Juventus’ Next Gen project.
On one side, Kenan Yildiz remains a key figure in the club’s future, while on the other, Matias Soulé has moved on, generating financial gain for the club.
These two players, once envisioned as future stars together in black and white, will now meet as opponents.
According to Tuttosport, there was a possibility that Soulé might have stayed with Juventus. Thiago Motta and Cristiano Giuntoli reportedly considered retaining the Argentine talent, especially if significant offers had come in for other players, such as Federico Chiesa, earlier in the transfer window.
However, when those offers didn’t materialize, Soulé’s departure became more likely. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the club never saw Soulé as a long-term rival to Yildiz.
From the outset, the 2003-born Soulé was always considered one of the players who could be sold, while the 19-year-old Yildiz was destined for a more integral role, particularly after Massimiliano Allegri gave him his first start in Serie A last December.
Tomorrow’s match will not only be a test of Juventus’ strength but also a chance to see how these two young talents, once part of the same vision, fare on opposing sides.
