Fabrizio Romano issues double important updates on Juventus transfer market

Fabio Miretti, Juventus’s 21-year-old midfield prospect, is a concrete target for Napoli. The player is reportedly open to a move and Napoli have shown serious interest in securing his signature, as per Fabrizio Romano.

However, negotiations are ongoing as no agreement has been reached on the transfer valuation. Juventus consider Miretti a key talent valued between €25 million and €30 million, while Napoli do not view him as a starter worth that price.

Miretti’s profile remains highly promising. Developed through Juventus’s youth academy, he quickly rose through the ranks, making his first-team debut in 2021 and earning promotion for the 2022–23 season.

He renewed his contract with Juve in 2023. Last season, Miretti spent time on loan at Genoa, featuring in 25 Serie A matches and contributing 3 goals and 3 assists.

Despite his progress, he is reportedly not part of coach Igor Tudor’s immediate plans.

On a related front, Sandro Tonali continues to be a “dream signing” for Juventus, who have tracked the midfielder for months as an ideal reinforcement.

Yet, Newcastle United consider Tonali untouchable, especially given their recent summer challenges and the ongoing uncertainty surrounding striker Alexander Isak’s future.

Newcastle acquired Tonali in 2023 for approximately €64–70 million, and he remains central to their midfield setup.

Juventus have reportedly offered swap-plus-cash deals involving players like Dušan Vlahović, Douglas Luiz, or Nicolo Savona, but these offers have not swayed Newcastle.

Tonali is said to be happy at the club and focused on helping them in the Champions League. His time in England began controversially after he received a 10-month ban for illegal betting upon joining Newcastle.

However, he has since reestablished himself and revitalized his career, earning praise from Italy’s national team coach.
