Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on bringing Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic to Turkey as the striker faces uncertainty over his future in Turin.
The Serbian striker has struggled to maintain consistent form this season, leading to speculation that he could be on his way out. Vlahovic, who joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for a hefty €80 million, has not fully lived up to expectations, and his recent performances have further fueled exit rumors.
With Arek Milik sidelined due to injury earlier in the season, Vlahovic was heavily relied upon but has experienced a significant dip in form.
In response, Juventus secured the services of Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January. The French forward has since established himself as the club’s main striker, which has cast further doubt over Vlahovic’s role in the squad.
Contract negotiations between Juventus and Vlahovic’s representative, Darko Ristic, have reportedly stalled, with only one year remaining on the player’s current deal.
This situation makes it likely that the Italian club will look to sell him rather than risk losing him for free next year. Similar to the case of Federico Chiesa’s departure last summer, Juventus may be forced to accept a lower transfer fee for the 25-year-old.
According to Turkish media reports (via JuventusNews24), , Mourinho sees an opportunity to strengthen Fenerbahce’s attack and is prepared to make an offer between €25 million and €30 million for the Serbian forward.
The move could reunite Vlahovic with his compatriot Filip Kostic, who is currently on loan at the Istanbul based club.
However, sources suggest that Vlahovic may prefer to wait for offers from more high profile European clubs before considering a switch to the Turkish Super Lig.
While Istanbul has previously provided a landing spot for top players struggling to find elite level opportunities, the Serbian striker might explore other options before making a final decision on his next destination.
