Dusan Vlahovic rejects Villarreal move
Dusan Vlahovic’s future was once again a major talking point during the summer transfer window. The Serbian striker, although not officially put up for sale, was one of the players Juventus were willing to listen to offers for, particularly from abroad, as his contract runs until June 2026.
Villarreal made a surprise approach for Vlahovic. After Juventus gave their approval, the Spanish club met with the striker’s representatives and presented a detailed proposal.
Juventus did not stand in the way of a potential move abroad. In fact, the club preferred this option, wanting to avoid strengthening Italian rivals like AC Milan or Napoli. While Milan’s interest faded and Napoli were never serious contenders, Villarreal pushed forward with confidence.

Despite the effort, Vlahovic ultimately turned Villarreal down. The Serbian striker was not convinced by the technical project presented and decided to remain in Turin until at least the end of his contract.
Financial factors also played a big role: Vlahovic earns around €7 million net per season, a salary very few clubs in Europe can afford to match right now.

For now, Juventus fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Vlahovic is staying, and the story takes on extra spice tonight as Juventus face Villarreal again in the Champions League a reminder of just how closely linked the striker’s journey has been with both clubs.
