A personal trainer who’s helping Ihattaren gives an update about the midfielder

Mohamed Ihattaren has never thought of retiring from football, said Jordy Best, a personal coach who’s helping him at the moment.

The Netherlands youngster signed for the Bianconeri in a £5 million move on transfer deadline day in the summer and was immediately loaned out to Sampdoria.

Mohamed Ihattaren hasn’t played a single minute for the Sampdoria, and there were reports that he would think of retiring from football at just 19 years old due to depression that stems from his father’s passing in 2019.

His father died from cancer in October 2019 when the youngster was just 17.

In an interview with calciomercato.com, Jordy Best said that he thinks Mohamed Ihattaren has never thought of retiring from football.

“In my opinion, he never thought about leaving football, this is my opinion,” said Jordy Best.

“Managing individual programs for professional athletes is my job, to make them perform at their best physically and mentally. He is training hard and is always ready to give his maximum potential.

“He’s making a great impression on me, I don’t see big differences from the Mo [Ihattaren] of a couple of seasons ago in terms of commitment and attitude to work.

“He just has to think about doing what he loves most in the world: playing football.”

Mohamed Ihattaren has recently reportedly that he left agent Mino Raiola, and the termination of his contract with Juventus seems likely after he ran out on Sampdoria.
