AC Milan have set their sights on Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso, with new manager Massimiliano Allegri reportedly eager to reunite with the 26-year-old as he begins reshaping the Rossoneri squad.
Cambiaso, who has become a key figure at Juventus, remains an integral part of the club’s long-term project.
Despite Allegri’s departure from Juventus, the defender has continued to impress under successive managers at the Allianz Stadium, showcasing growth, tactical adaptability, and two-way play down the flank.
Now leading AC Milan, Allegri is said to be keen on building his team around players he trusts, Cambiaso tops that list.
The full-back thrived under Allegri’s guidance at Juventus, earning the coach’s confidence with his technical skills, positional awareness, and ability to transition quickly between defense and attack.
Allegri’s interest in Cambiaso comes as he looks to instill stability and familiarity in Milan’s backline ahead of the 2025/26 Serie A season.
Juventus, however, are unlikely to let go of Cambiaso easily especially to a direct league rival. Club executives are reportedly firm in their stance that the versatile defender is not for sale.
Allowing a key player to join AC Milan would not only weaken their squad but also potentially strengthen a competitor.
The Bianconeri view Cambiaso as a cornerstone of their squad rebuild. Letting him go now could derail their ambitions of returning to title contention in the upcoming season.
Although Milan acknowledge the difficulties involved in prying Cambiaso away from Juventus, the club is said to be monitoring the situation closely.
With the transfer window open, they are prepared to act if an opportunity arises even if it requires significant negotiation or a player-plus-cash offer.
For now, Cambiaso remains a Juventus player, and the club’s stance suggests they will resist any approach from their domestic rivals.
As the summer transfer market heats up, all eyes will be on Andrea Cambiaso’s future. Will he remain a key piece in Juventus’ setup, or will Allegri manage to lure him to Milan for a reunion? One thing is certainhis next move could have major implications for the Serie A title race.
