Adrien Rabiot expected to extend Juventus contract despite interest from European top clubs

Adrien Rabiot, the Juventus midfielder, is reportedly closer to extending his contract with the club than leaving.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, a meeting between Rabiot and Juventus is expected at the end of April to discuss a potential contract extension.

The French midfielder’s good relationship with Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is believed to be a key factor in his decision to stay at the club.

Rabiot’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, making him a free agent in the summer transfer window.

While Rabiot’s mother is said to be seeking a €10m a year salary for her son, Juventus reportedly has no intention of matching that figure. Despite this, it appears that Rabiot is still keen on staying with the Italian giants.

Rabiot has a successful season with Juventus so far, scoring seven goals in Serie A.

His impressive performances have reportedly attracted the interest of a number of top clubs, including Liverpool and FC Barcelona who are said to be looking for an opportunity to sign him for free.
