Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has reportedly decided to stay at the club next season, rejecting all offers for a summer move.

According to Cadena SER, the Danish centre-back is keen to see out the final year of his contract with the La Liga champions, despite speculation over his future following an injury-plagued 2024/25 campaign.

Christensen, 29, made just six appearances across all competitions last season due to recurring fitness issues. With only a year left on his deal, the club’s sporting director Deco was expected to offload the defender to avoid losing him for free in 2026.

Despite interest from Italian giants Juventus and several clubs in Saudi Arabia, Christensen has made it clear he wants to stay in Barcelona, where his family is reportedly settled and happy.

While his availability has been limited, head coach Hansi Flick still rates the former Chelsea man highly and may count on him for depth in the upcoming campaign.

With pre-season preparations underway, Christensen’s decision provides a bit more clarity to Barcelona’s defensive plans going forward.
