Juventus open to selling star despite Tudor’s backing

Juventus are reportedly open to selling Nicolas Gonzalez just one season after his arrival from Fiorentinadespite the continued support of head coach Igor Tudor.

Gonzalez joined the Bianconeri last summer following a strong recommendation from former manager Thiago Motta, who considered the Argentine winger a vital part of his tactical plans.

Juventus worked hard to secure his services, viewing him as a key addition to help reshape their attacking force.

However, despite regular appearances, Gonzalez has flown under the radar, attracting less media and fan attention compared to teammates like Douglas Luiz and Teun Koopmeiners, who have faced sharper criticism over the course of the season.

Even with limited headlines, Gonzalez has retained the trust of both Motta and Tudor. The current manager reportedly values the Argentine’s work rate and tactical discipline, keeping him involved in his plans for the squad.

Yet, that internal backing may not be enough to guarantee his future in Turin. Juventus are open to evaluating offers for the winger during the summer transfer window.

The club is said to be operating with a pragmatic approach to its rebuild. Should a reasonable offer come in, the Bianconeri are prepared to part ways with the 26-year-old.

This reflects a larger strategic trend at the club prioritizing flexibility and financial balance in their long-term planning.

“Nicolas Gonzalez has not been a standout performer,” a source close to the club noted, “and if a good deal comes, he’s among the players Juventus feel they could replace without a major disruption.”

For now, Gonzalez remains part of Tudor’s squad, but his future at the Allianz Stadium appears uncertain. Much may depend on interest from other clubs and the valuation Juventus are willing to accept.
