Juventus is intensifying its efforts to secure Canadian striker Jonathan David, whose contract with Lille expires on June 30, 2025. Despite the allure of acquiring him on a free transfer, the deal is far from economical.

David’s representatives are reportedly demanding a signing bonus of €15 million, agent fees around €10 million, and a net annual salary of €6 million over a five-year contract, bringing the total investment to approximately €80 million.

Napoli has emerged as a strong contender, allegedly offering David a five-year deal worth €3 million net per season. Inter Milan is also in the mix, with David’s agent, Nick Mavromaras, attending a Champions League match at San Siro, indicating ongoing discussions.

David’s impressive performance this season, tallying 25 goals and 12 assists, has attracted attention from top European clubs, including Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. While he has expressed a desire to play for Barcelona, no formal negotiations have been reported.

Juventus faces stiff competition and must navigate the financial demands to secure David’s services. With the striker’s contract nearing its end, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining his next destination.
