Guardiola speaks on Juventus
Pep Guardiola has spoken out ahead of a highly anticipated rematch between Manchester City and Juventus, scheduled for June 26 in Orlando, in the final group stage match of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Earlier this season, Juventus already faced and defeated Manchester City in the Champions League group stage, winning 2-0 at Allianz Stadium on December 11, with goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie.
Now, the rematch is set to take place in the United States, and Guardiola, in an exclusive interview with beIN Sports, praised the Italian side and reflected on their earlier clash.
“We faced them in Turin and lost, but now they have changed coach, as Thiago Motta is no longer there.
Juventus is the most important club in Italy, maybe not in Europe, but in Italy they have the largest following and the most fans.
Juventus is truly an incredible club in many ways, and we’re looking forward to facing them again.”
This match is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in the Club World Cup, with both teams aiming to assert their dominance on the international stage.
