Juventus have reportedly placed American midfielder Weston McKennie on the transfer list as the club prepares for a major squad reshuffle this summer.

McKennie, 26, is the longest-serving outfield player in the squad, having joined Juventus in 2020 from Schalke 04 on the recommendation of former sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Since his arrival, his time in Turin has been marked by ups and downs, including a brief loan spell at Leeds United.

The Bianconeri may have already seen McKennie wear their shirt for the last time. Although he was expected to sign a contract extension, talks have reportedly broken down.

Unlike teammate Federico Gatti who is finalizing a new deal McKennie’s situation appears uncertain.

McKennie is no longer a guaranteed starter under coach Igor Tudor. Midfielders Manuel Locatelli and new signing Khephren Thuram have taken over the central roles, while Andrea Cambiaso and Alberto Costa are preferred in wide positions. As a result, Juventus are open to selling him, along with six other players.

Also included on Juventus’ summer transfer list is McKennie’s U.S. compatriot Timothy Weah, who previously turned down a move to Nottingham Forest. However, French side Marseille are now considered a likely destination for him.

Other names expected to leave the club include:

Samuel Mbangula – Struggling to fit into Tudor’s tactical system

Dusan Vlahovic – The club is eager to offload the Serbian striker due to financial reasons

Douglas Luiz – Could leave despite his recent arrival as part of a potential swap

Lloyd Kelly – The defender has not impressed since joining in January

Nicolas Gonzalez – The winger is available for the right offer

Juventus are hoping that player sales, including McKennie’s, can help raise funds for new signings, with a reported €85 million needed to finance a move for Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray.
